Seeking Wisdom

January 1, 2025

My husband and I used to do our retrospective reviews at the end of each quarter, followed by goal setting for the next. This time, we decided to set our goals for the entire year of 2025. We know this year will be full of exciting challenges, but I’m thrilled we have things to look forward to. While I’d love to share everything with you now, I’ll probably wait until we’ve accomplished them to keep an element of surprise. Alongside this excitement, I also feel a tinge of fear—uncertain of how we’ll achieve these goals or if we even can. But one thing my husband and I are absolutely sure of is that God is with us, and He will never fail us. This knowledge brings me peace.

We’ve faced many failures and disappointments in the past, which is why I constantly seek wisdom from Him who knows everything—past, present, and future. I still have so much to work on personally, and I believe His wisdom will guide us to make better decisions for our family, protect us from circumstances that aren’t in our best interest, and guard us against anything that doesn’t reflect God’s love.

As part of the new year, I plan to go through Proverbs: A Study of Wisdom and Folly for 31 Days on the YouVersion Bible app. I’ve been using this app since I became a Christian, and it has been a lifeline during my darkest times. I realize that a lack of wisdom in my past decisions brought me to those low points. Now, as a wife, I know wisdom is essential for our relationship to thrive. I aspire to be the best wife I can be to my amazing and caring husband. Side note: my husband has always been incredible, and I want to match that energy for him and our family.

I’m filled with anticipation to move in God’s wisdom and uncover things I’ve never known before. God has always been so good to us, and I’m deeply grateful that we get to walk with Him in 2025 and beyond.
